In October 2008, a McHenry County man has pleaded guilty for that he has killed an East Dubuque woman while that he was driving under the influence of drugs.

On Thursday, Jeffrey Repec, 30, of Spring Grove, has been agreed with the Kane County State’s Attorney to a sentence of 45 months in the Illinois Department of Corrections and he has also agreed for the probation in exchange for a guilty plea to three felony counts of aggravated DUI.
On Oct. 31, 2008, Repec was driving a semi-tractor trailer that was loaded with grain on Illinois 47 near Huntley, at that time while driving he crashed into the back of a pickup truck. This collision resulted in the death of Tabitha Carroll of East Dubuque, and the husband and younger son of Carroll’s also had been injured in that accident.
It has been revealed by an investigation that Repec had not applied his brakes, and that he had smoked marijuana within 12 hours of that fatal crash.
