« DUI Suspect Escapes In Stolen Duluth Police Car
At Atlanta, officials are in a search for a handcuffed man who has slipped out of the backseat of a Duluth police car and the cruiser has been stolen after being arrested for DUI.
On Monday evening, an officer stopped a U-Haul truck for a traffic violation.

Duluth Maj. Don Woodruff has said that the officer at that time realized that the driver was intoxicated, so he put on handcuffs and then put him in the backseat of the patrol car.
The officer went to search the U-Haul and when he returned back his patrol car and the suspect were gone away.
It has been said by Woodruff said that the man managed to kick out, pry open or open the lock on a divider between the front and back seats.
Dashcam video that has been taken from the stolen police car show that the suspect has driven the car about 20 miles to southeast Atlanta.
At one point he has stopped, then he raises the hood and he has searched for something in the engine compartment. It is presumed by the Police that he was looking for a GPS tracking device, he might be hoping that he could disable it.

The area has been searched by dozens of officers from Duluth, DeKalb County and Atlanta for the stolen police car and suspect.
It has been reported by the dashcam camera that the suspect was bragging about escaping.
Woodruff has sais that the suspect was showing people his handcuffs and telling people that he has got away from police.
The police car has been abandoned by the suspect behind a church.
Woodruff has said that the car had no damage and none of the equipment was missing.
It has been said by the Police that the U-Haul had been stolen.
