« Police charged a suspect with 5th DWI during a search for Stolen Car
A search for a stolen vehicle has ended with an arrest of a suspect who has faced his fifth charge for DUI.

The incident was initiated when Waunakee police were dispatched to Ripp’s Bar at 117 E. Main St. taking notice of a report of a stolen vehicle just before 11 p.m. Friday night.
Later on the vehicle was seen speeding and driving left of the center line on River Rd.
When the car turned onto Woods Glen Court in the town of DeForest, it was stopped by the police and state patrol and then they took the suspect into custody without incident.
The driver of the stolen vehicle was a 28-year-old John R. Ripp of DeForest.
Ripp, who has an open case for a fourth DWI, and now he has been tentatively charged with his fifth DWI, as well as operating a vehicle without the owner’s permission.
