« Extra DUI Patrols on Cinco de Mayo Festival
Law enforcement agencies has made extra patrolling plan for drunken drivers who will drive through Sonoma County on Wednesday for Cinco de Mayo festival. Nearly 13 law enforcement agencies will take part in this extra patrolling for checking the impaired drivers. ![]()
According to police officer Savano, extra police officers will take part and do the over time to make the extra patrol possible so that it will become easy to check more driver for drunk driving during May 5th festivities. Country sheriff and deputies will do their duty on highway and country roads while the police office will take charge of city roads.
Beside the dui check points and patrolling local NGOs and society groups do the extra effort to convince the drivers for not driving drunk.
According to police officer Savano, a drunk driver can be identified easily by a police officer. As if he wide turns, drive too slow, drive too recklessly, show aggression, weave, fail to move ahead on green light, break red light signal. All above behavior can be suspected for driving under the influence.
California Office of Traffic Safety and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will bear all the cost of this extra patrolling of 13 DUI law enforcement agencies on this Cinco de Mayo festival.
