The reason for this is that most of these fresheners contain elements of Listerine which has certain percentage of alcohol, therefore using such items would only ruin your chances rather than helping you escape.

There are many types of breath testing devices which exists and all of them are known are breathalyzers. The first of the modern breath testers was manufactured by Smith and Wesson several years ago which was named ‘Breathalyzer’.

Ever since that period many various manufacturers have come up with breath testing devices which were given various names such as Alcotest, AlcoSensor, DataMaster, Intoximer, Intoxilyzer etc. These were later produced in many different versions down the years to be updated with technology. Therefore, to help remove confusion, the term Breathalyzer was used for all such devices which helped testing the breath.
