Sin City’s Marley Shelton Arrested For DUI »
Sin City fame Marley Shelton has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) on Friday, April 30th, 2010. 
She was driving through the Hollywood and was pulled over on a checkpoint by the cops. Cops took a field sobriety test before officially arresting her.
Later on she has been released after posting $5,000 bail and was released on Saturday, May 1st.

Police had made plan across the country for DUI enforcement on most celebrated adult holiday of the year the Super Bowl Sunday. All states police are planning and announcing DUI checkpoints and putting extra police force on the road. Police officers will be looking for signs of impairment and they are given orders to pull over a vehicle for a minor traffic infraction. Violating signals, having expired driving tags on vehicle or reckless driving are all the major reasons that makes an officer to pull over a car this Sunday.

Some people will be looking for alternate routes to avoid the police checkpoints and it’s not illegal to take a different route. Police checkpoints are typically publicized. But that will not be good for you if you will abruptly change direction while in line of a checkpoint. If you will do so then you will invite police to pull you out from your vehicle.

It has been said by the police in central Florida that the blood-alcohol content for U.S. Rep. John Mica’s daughter was more than twice the legal limit.

D’Anne Leigh Mica was arrested on a charge of DUI on Early Friday morning
It has been shown by a Maitland police report that early Friday morning a 34-year-old D’Anne Leigh Mica was arrested on a charge of DUI. She was stopped by a DUI officer as he spotted her car drifting back and forth.

Early Tuesday morning, a DUI arresting police officer and three others were admitted in the hospital, when a driver suspected of DUI hit several cars in the Olney section of Philadelphia.

Rather than stopping the car, the suspect accelerated his motor and raced down the 6100 block of North 11th Street near West Spencer Street.

The car suddenly went out of control and it turned the street that seems to be a scene out of a demolition derby.

Early Saturday Police charged a doctor with DUI when he was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy.

The sheriff had been alerted by witnesses who say that he saw the man slumped over the steering wheel in his SUV, which was parked in the middle of a roadway.
The two witnesses told authorities that they saw man driving recklessly, almost hitting several vehicles.

Alarming news for those who will intake drugs or drinks before starting their journey on New Jersey’s roads can be caught by police for driving under the influence charges.
Police and other Law enforcement agencies of the state will make some complete patrolling and immediate sobriety checkpoints. This all will start from today till 3rd January 2010. This all will start as a part of campaign named as “Over the Limit, Under Arrest”. 
This campaign is an effort to control the raise in drunk driving during holidays that is the busiest time of the year that is Christmas and New Year eve.
This special assignment is funded by the state Division of Highway Traffic Safety. This program for controlling drunk driving under the influence was started in 1999. This division grants $5,000 for this special assignment as a cover to extra work for field sobriety checkpoints and DWI patrols.

Vermont State Auditor, Salmon would Plead Guilty To DUI »
Tom Salmon, who is a state Auditor of Vermont has said that he will plead guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol after being cited for DUI on Nov 13 in Montpelier.

Today Salmon’s arraignment is scheduled in Vermont District Court.
Prosecutors told the Barre-Montpelier Times Argus that Salmon will be eligible for a standard plea deal.

Fatal DUI Accident – Two men killed »
On early Saturday, two men were killed in an accident. At that time they were riding in the Ford Mustang which suddenly ran off the road on I-395 and crashed into a tree.
It has been said by the state police that when the accident happened at 3:15 a.m. Jeremy Dubois, 25, of Jewett City, was driving south on the interstate, near Exit 88.

His passenger, Michael Batchek, 26, of Voluntown, died on the spot. Whereas Dubois was taken to Backus Hospital in Norwich, where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary accident report
It is stated in a preliminary accident report that the air bags in the 2002 vehicle had not deployed. According to the report Batchek was not wearing a seat belt. But Dubois was wearing one.
