Police charged a suspect with 5th DWI during a search for Stolen Car »
A search for a stolen vehicle has ended with an arrest of a suspect who has faced his fifth charge for DUI.

The incident was initiated when Waunakee police were dispatched to Ripp’s Bar at 117 E. Main St. taking notice of a report of a stolen vehicle just before 11 p.m. Friday night.

The New DWI Law Takes Effect from Today »
The new DWI Law that is considered as the toughest law in the nation goes into effect today in New York State.
According to the new law, a child who is under 16 years old would be charged with a felony to drive a car with a blood alcohol level of .08.

In order to enhance the enforcement of DWI laws, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office will join forces with other law enforcement agencies from around the state and nation.
Death Toll from DWI rises during Christmas and New Year
According to traffic safety experts, during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday period the daily death toll from drunk driving crashes is significantly more than during the rest of the year.

2,400 alcohol-related traffic crashes in Texas
In Texas during December, on average, more that 2,400 alcohol-related traffic crashes occurred. These accidents result in 80 fatalities on Texas roads and highways. (These estimates are based on an analysis of Texas CRIS data since 2003).
More Patrols During Christmas and New Year Holidays
This year, in cooperation with TxDOT, Sheriff Tommy Gage has delivered an important message for Texas drivers – he asked them not to drive if you’re tipsy or buzzed; they should call a cab or get a sober ride home instead.

According to police a Kingsbury man was charged with felony DWI early Saturday after police saw him drive through a red light.

Glens Falls Police Sgt. Keith Knoop reported that Sean B. Willey, 38, of Vaughn Road was arrested at 2:54 a.m. after he passed through a red light at the intersection of Ridge Street and Dix Avenue without stopping.
It has been concluded by Glens Falls Police Officer Tony Lydon that he was intoxicated, but Knoop said that Willey refused to take a breath test.

Charges against Guadalupe Wally Trevino
On Wednesday, Guadalupe Wally Trevino, 40, Spiceland, was charged in Henry Superior Court 2 with misdemeanor counts of DWI, public intoxication and criminal recklessness.

According to reports, Trevino was off duty and he was driving a privately owned vehicle when he struck the house in the 700 block of Broad Street.

A suburban St. Louis man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison. He has conducted a deadly crash on Interstate 70.
Chad E. Frazer was sentenced on Friday for involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of the accident. The accident occurred on Feb. 19 in which Robert Wood was killed.

Yesterday, it has been reported by AP that an off-duty cop was arrested for DWI in Queens. It has been reported that veteran detective James O’Connell was arrested and charged with DWI after he smashed into a tollbooth at the Midtown Tunnel in Queens.

According to reports James was allegedly driving home from a holiday party when he smacked into the lane’s gate arm at the toll plaza around 2 a.m.
Before that he had a holiday party with colleagues in Great Neck.
