Teen Charged For DUI After Crashing Car Into a Home »
A 17 years old teen was arrested for crashing car into a Washington Road House in late December. The teen driver who is Cromwell resident was arrested this week and was charged with drunken driving under the age of 21 years and reckless driving.

Police haven’t given the name of young man because of his age, they told that he was under the influence of alcohol and unspecified drugs also at the time when he crashed the vehicle into the house on the night of Dec. 29.
He was driving 1999 model four door Cadillac Coupe de Ville and was moving north on Washington Road when he lost the control on the car and crashed that into a home at 11:08 p.m.

A Man On Bicycle Charged For DUI »
In East Naples the Collier County Police arrested a man for DUI who was riding a bicycle. The Sheriff Office told that a Tampa man was riding on the bike when that 51 year old Tommy Charles Miller was stopped his eyes were red and smell of alcohol was coming from him.

He was riding the bike on Saturday in night without lights. Police told that two cans of beer were also found in the bike’s front basket.

$200K Bond For Man In DUI Crash That Killed Girlfriend »
On Saturday, a judge set the bond at $200,000 for an Orland Park man, Nicholas Sord, on charges of a fatal drunken driving crash that killed his girlfriend, Jessica Mejia, 20.

Sord, who is 22, had a blood-alcohol level almost four times the legal limit, when he was driving his Mercedes SUV west on 147th Street near Oak Park Ave, Thursday morning, when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a light pole, then careened into a ditch and partially rolled over. Apparantly, Sord and Jessica both were not wearing seat belts.

Increase in DUI Arrests In 2010 »
An increase in the number of DUI arrests has been reported by the Nevada Highway Patrol, as partiers continue to get behind the wheel after a night of partying and drinking.

According to the police, there have been around 82 arrests on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. NHP has warned that the number may continue to rise as the system continues to monitor all violators. Last year NHP made 73 DUI arrests on new year.

Woman Charged With DUI After Plowing Into House »
This week, a 20-year-old Winnetka woman was charged with DUI. Earlier this month, she had lost control of her car, crashing into the living room of a sleeping Wilmette family.
The woman named Colleen D. Brennan, resident of the 600 block of Sheridan Road, was charged when she had a blood-alcohol content of .29, which is greater than three times the legal limit to drive of .08.
According to the Police, Brennan was alone in a Saab at 5 a.m. on Dec. 5, when she crashed into a fire hydrant and a parked car before crossing four lawns in the 1100 block of Ridge Road in Wilmette. After that, she drove right through the bushes, before going airborne and hitting the home.

Doctor Arrested Under The New Strict Law »
The first person in the Capital Region to be arrested under the new "Leandra’s Law" , is a Voorheesville woman, who is a doctor by profession.
Dr. Eileen E. Joyce, 52, was asked to pull over by the police at 11:45 p.m. Saturday on Rt. 155 in Guilderland near Farnsworth Middle School, when she was coming back from Proctor’s Theatre. She was driving with a 7-year-old and two other passengers in the car, including the child’s parent.

Sen. John Kerry’s Daughter Arrested for DUI in Los Angles »
The daughter of Sen. John Kerry was arrested for DUI early Thursday.
According to Los Angles police 36 year old Alexandra Kerry was stopped by officers on a Hollywood street about 12:40 a.m. Thursday and was tested for DUI. In police station she identified herself as a Senator Kerry’s daughter.
Officer Bruce Borihanh told that she was then taken to Hollywood police station and was kept there for 5 hours till 5:30 a.m. after posting $5,000 bail she was released then.
Alexandra Kerry is eldest daughter of the Massachusetts senator. She works as a film director/producer and had produced documentaries and also had acted in small roles.

DUI arrests for women had risen 30% since 2007. This increase is seen with many female celebrities who had arrested for suspected drunk driving.
In Santa Barbara, Heather Locklear was arrested back in 2007 for suspicion for drinking and driving. A driver on the road informed the police about her rash driving on the road.
She pleads no contest to DUI but pled guilty to a lesser charge of a misdemeanor of reckless driving. She was fined $700 with sentence to attend a 12-hour drug education program and placed on 3 years.
